Our Care Today For Tomorrow Capital Campaign goal is $18 million by 2010.
Over the next three to five years, the QEH requires medical equipment to support and deliver quality, effective care for existing services, as well as new and expanded areas of service being introduced as a result of the Redevelopment Initiative*.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation is the only ongoing source of funds for the hospital to purchase medical equipment.
Over the past 24 years, our Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation has raised over $30 million for medical equipment.
The Foundation is undertaking a very special, timely and critical capital campaign – only the second in its history.
The capital campaign will help the hospital meet its two-fold medical equipment challenges:
1. To close the critical gap in medical equipment and technology needed to sustain
day-to-day hospital services for Islanders.
2. To provide new medical equipment for Phase 1 Redevelopment consisting of Emergency,
Ambulatory Care and Day Surgery. Construction is targeted to commence in 2008.
Where the Funds are Going - $18M
