Charlottetown, PE – The spirit of community took centre stage at Belvedere Golf Club on June 10th as the 23rd Harry MacLauchlan “Great Day” Fore Health Memorial Golf Tournament—presented by Fair Isle Ford in partnership with the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Royalty—brought Islanders together in support of a great cause. By day’s end, the tournament had raised a record-breaking $124,062 for priority medical equipment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

“It is a privilege to honour the legacy and generosity of Harry and Marjorie MacLauchlan, whose commitment to community continues to inspire us,” said Tournament Co‑Chair Mike Hennessey. “Every golfer, sponsor, and volunteer helped make this day extraordinary. Together, we’re strengthening our Island’s largest hospital and supporting the teams who care for Islanders every day.”
Kreative Acres claimed top honours at this year’s tournament, capping off a day defined by friendly rivalries and plenty of good humour.
This year’s proceeds will help purchase six Trauma Electric Imaging Stretchers for the QEH Emergency Department—critical equipment that supports patients in their most urgent moments. With this year’s total, the annual tournament has now raised over $1.3 million since 2003.
The QEH Foundation also celebrated its long-standing partnership with the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Royalty. “We are so grateful to the Rotary Club for their long-standing leadership and support,” said John Scales, QEH Foundation Board Chair. “Their commitment strengthens our community and inspires all of us to keep raising the bar.”
Tournament Co‑Chairs Mike Hennessey and Jamie Currie, along with the Rotary planning committee, extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who made the day possible. Special recognition goes to Presenting Sponsor Fair Isle Ford, whose support fuels the tournament’s continued success. The Foundation also acknowledges Corporate Sponsors Canadian Tire and Island Petroleum, and the Lifeline Sponsors A&S Scrap Metals; IG Private Wealth Management Currie, Slaunwhite, Hughes & Associates; Island Coastal; RBC Insurance; and the Government of PEI. A warm welcome to PEI Mutual Insurance Company, joining this year as the Cart Sponsor.
