A gift in your Will—often called a bequest—allows you to provide for your loved ones while also helping future generations receive exceptional care at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
It costs nothing today, can be updated if your circumstances change, and may provide tax benefits for your estate.

Ways to Leave a Gift in Your Will
There are several ways to include the QEH Foundation in your estate plans:
A Specific Gift
Leave a specific dollar amount.
A Percentage Gift
Leave a percentage of your estate.
A Residual Gift
Leave all or a portion of what remains after family, taxes, and other obligations have been addressed.
Many donors choose this option because it allows loved ones to be cared for first.
Sample Statement to Add to Your Will
Your lawyer will prepare wording based on your wishes, but a gift may look something like:
“I, , give to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation Inc., Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island % of my estate (or the sum of $) to be used for its charitable purposes.”
