A Community Effort Like No Other: Kitchen Party For Care
This year, Islanders also came together in a joyful new way through Kitchen Party for Care. From kitchens and living rooms across PEI, you shared music, dancing, and heart. For every video submitted, Markan Group of Companies donated $100, contributing $10,000 to the campaign.

Meet Glenda.
This past February, her life changed in an instant. Struck by COVID-19 and pneumonia, she was rushed from Summerside to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and spent six weeks in the Intensive Care Unit, intubated and relying on life-support machines.
Thanks to the dedicated care from QEH staff and the life-saving equipment funded by donors, she did. After six months in hospital, including rehabilitation in Unit 7, she returned home to her loved ones.
Having worked as a nurse for 50 years, Glenda understands what compassionate, skilled care looks like and is deeply grateful for the team that supported her and the donors who funded the equipment that helped save her life. Now a committed monthly donor herself, she encourages others to support the QEH.
The hospital saves lives every day, but having the right tools and resources is essential. Continued generosity ensures that more patients, just like her, can return home to the people they love most.
